Product LiveChat: LiveChat provides a possibility to store data in two independent locations, one within EEA/EU, the other placed on the territory of the USA. Each customer may decide about the desired location of hosted data at the time of creating a license by signing up on the bottom of the following webpage or contact our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the absence of an alternative selection, data shall be allocated to servers located in the United States of America by default. The same storage location choice applies to backups.
LiveChat, Inc. is committed to maintaining the integrity of its customers’ data and thus assigns all personal and licensed data, based on either customer preference or default assignment, to appropriate server locations. Therefore, in the event that a customer chooses to store their data within the European Union, LiveChat, Inc. shall ensure that ticket-related data is stored in that region. For security reasons, LiveChat, Inc. shall not disclose specific details regarding the location of its data storage centers. Nonetheless, customers of LiveChat products are provided with the option to modify server location as per their preference.
Product ChatBot: Our Chatbot stores all data in servers located in Ireland. LiveChat, Inc. takes all reasonable measures to ensure that the data stored in Ireland is protected in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and our Data Storage and Hosting Policy. However, due to the nature of our services and the involvement of subprocessors in data processing, it may be necessary to transfer or store data in other locations outside the USA.
Product HelpDesk: Helpdesk stores data in servers located in the United States of America with no possibility to relocate the data to other storage center. However, due to the nature of our services and the involvement of subprocessors in data processing, it may be necessary to transfer or store data in other locations outside the USA. LiveChat, Inc. requires all subprocessors to adhere to the same high standards of data protection as outlined in the Agreement and DPA, and such transfer or storage will be conducted in accordance with these standards.
Product KnowleadgeBase: KnowleadgeBase stores data in servers located in the United States of America with no possibility to relocate the data to other storage center. However, due to the nature of our services and the involvement of subprocessors in data processing, it may be necessary to transfer or store data in other locations outside the USA. LiveChat, Inc. requires all subprocessors to adhere to the same high standards of data protection as outlined in the Agreement and DPA, and such transfer or storage will be conducted in accordance with these standards.
Please be aware that if you use two or more products offered by LiveChat Inc., jointly all data shall be stored in line with the policy of a particular product independently.
Hosting and Data Safety
LiveChat, Inc. has adopted security controls and practices for hosting centers that are designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Customer’s content that is hosted by LiveChat, Inc. and to protect Customer’s content, personal data as well as any other data related to the license from any unauthorized processing activities such as loss or unlawful destruction of data. LiveChat, Inc. continually works to strengthen and improve those security controls and practices. LiveChat, Inc. database servers are hosted in a data center operated by a third-party vendor. LiveChat, Inc. maintains complete administrative control over the servers, and no third-party vendors have logical access to customer data besides the scope necessary to deliver to us data storage centers. Furthermore, LiveChat, Inc. maintains an inventory of all media on which customer data is stored. Access to the inventories of such media is restricted to authorized personnel.
Processing the Personal Data by LiveChat, Inc. is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation. This includes compliance with requirements that Personal Data transferred from the EEA to other countries where LiveChat, Inc. or its third party service providers operate is adequately protected. LiveChat, Inc. ensures that it signed and shall continue to sign Data Processing Addendums with all vendors with access to personal data. What is more, in selecting third party providers who may gain access to, store, transmit or use customer data, Provider conducts a quality and security assessment pursuant to the provisions of its standard operating procedures. LiveChat, Inc. provides an up-to-date list of Sub-processors available here. We take care to use only reputable and secure suppliers. Furthermore, LiveChat, Inc. computing environments are routinely tested to ensure that in case of any data safety breach we are able to restore potential data loss.
